This is the highest-grade Japanese-style knife available. Given
the ingredients and the methods utilized in its creation, combined with the beauty of its decorative design, this is the

ao-ko high-carbon steel. It receives the same mizuhonyaki
("Water tempering") method used in Japanese sword making. The
blade is polished to a mirror-like shine on both side and the octagonal, ebony handle is gorgeously decorated with
silver.
The knife comes in a beautiful wooden box with a stunning traditional fabric cover. A hand-carved ebony saya cover
with a silver nameplate is included. |
